Clay Farmer is set to release his follow-up to the highly acclaimed "LIVE at the Armadillo Palace, Part I" album on August 22nd 2008. The second part of his show will be released as "LIVE at the Armadillo Palace, Part II" and will include some more of his fan favorites and trademark tunes.

To celebrate the release of this album, Clay has already hired the same group of musicians that played on the recording to make this a very special night for everybody. Brian Thomas on pedal steel guitar and Randy Wall on keyboards will provide all the lead work, while the White Lion Rhythm Section of Joe DeLeon on drums and Robert DiBlanco on bass will provide a steady backbone to Clay's well crafted tunes.

For obvious reasons the release party will be held at the Armadillo Palace, one of Houston's premier venues for live Country Music and a great place to eat outstanding food and enjoy a cold beverage.

Make sure to mark your calendars for this event - it'll be a helluva night to be a part of.

Once again, Clay Farmer was voted the Ultimate Country Band in a recent poll at HoustonChronicle.com - this marks the second time in a row that Clay Farmer received this honor.

Clay Farmer received an appreciation award from Blue Bell Creameries for his contributions during the 100th birthday festivities and their TV advertisements over the last couple of months.

In a recent poll at the Houston Chronicle website (click here to see original posting), Texas singer/songwriter Clay Farmer won 'ULTIMATE COUNTRY Act' honors with 22% of all votes.

David Brake & That Damn Band, Davin James, Miss Leslie & Her Juke-Jointers, Johhny Falstaff and The Stringbenders completed the list of nominees.
